Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Chinnor in Oxfordshire, England.
Where is home for you now?
Home now is Revelstoke, British Columbia.
What’s your favourite river?
Favourite river – impossible to compare rivers and there are so many good ones, that I can’t say.
How many years have you been a rafting guide?
I started rafting in 2001 and I’ve been coming to Canada every summer since to raft. Plus some winters guiding in Chile and Costa Rica.
How do you spend your winters?
I used to travel somewhere warm and either guide rafting, teach scuba diving, sail boats or work as a biologist. The last four winters though I’ve been in Revelstoke, working for Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing and trying to ski tour as much as possible.
If you could be any animal what would it be, and why?
My favourite animal is an Octopus. They are just so interesting and amazing. For an animal that only lives for five years, they are really intelligent. They can change the colour and texture of their skin to reflect their mood. They are jet propelled. And they can kill sharks.
