Multi-Day Rafting Trips: Why You Should Go!
Why spend an afternoon or a morning whitewater rafting on the Kicking Horse River when you can spend two days? Whether you’re seeking an adventure, or you and your friends/family want to make a vacation out of visiting the Canadian Rockies, we can cater to your multi-day whitewater rafting needs.
Note that you are responsible for finding your own accommodation for these multi-day trips. Learn more about our Kicking Horse River multi-day rafting trips here!
Better Value
If you want more whitewater rafting with all the extra add-ons, booking multi-day rafting trips is in your favour. Whitewater rafting trips on both days are generally longer than regular one-day trips. What’s more, you get free trip photos (~$20 value) and a BBQ meal on one of the days.
High Adventure Level
Class III and class IV rapids are the name of the game in these multi-day trips. Choose between the Premium and the Elite package. The Premium has some class II rapids, and is ideal for groups with younger or more inexperienced rafters, but still offer some high thrills. The Elite is for adventure seekers, where you can experience the legendary middle section of the Kicking Horse River, as well as the class IV-IV+ rapids in the “Lower Canyon” section. Note that the Elite trip is only available later in the season (July to August).
Goes Well With Other Canadian Rockies Outdoor Activities
Take the adrenaline rush of whitewater rafting and apply it to another fun outdoor activity! Trips generally end early enough in the day that you can still take in other Canadian Rockies activities like hiking, wildlife sightseeing, and golfing. Golden is close to our RiverBase, and is worth exploring. Hike to Wapta Falls and take in the largest waterfall of the Kicking Horse River.
